Entries for this year’s essay contest at Real Simple magazine must be submitted by September 19, 2013.  This year’s theme: “What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever done?”

The prize for the winning entry of 1,500 words or less is $3,000 plus possible publication in the magazine.
