AN-94 Remodel/Replacer & Rebalance.
This is a simple "model replacer" that replaces, you guessed it, the AN-94.
It uses a much higher quality model, which I am VERY sure it is from Corvalho himself, instead of the mess that BF3 is.
I have also done some minor rebalance, for example, the gun now finally shoots in 2-bursts at 1800 RPM even in full-auto.
I'd like to give big thanks to "Qatapro" since he helped me set this weapon up, model and even config. (It's thanks to his findings the 2-burst works properly)

Graphics-wise:
* New Model made by Renato Corvalho, with textures from Rafael De Jongh.
* The "Kobra" model of the AN-94 was broken, having bad smoothing errors, this has been fixed.
Texture-wise:
* All textures at 2048x2048, without compression artifacts and a proper Normal & Specular map.
* The "Camo" variant also uses functional tritium sights, further making it more unique and useful.
Balance-wise:
* The weapon will now shoot at 1800 RPM on the first two shots, in Full-Auto. This is the same as in real life.
* "Camo" variant no longer has lower RPM than usual, it's the same as default.
* "Camo" variant is able to use a Silencer.

UPDATE 4 HOTFIX 1
- Minor update that only updates the patch "EFT Style Weapons Re-position", the position of the weapon has been improved.

- In order to further make the Camo AN-94 variant unique, it uses a different texture. It's not that big of a difference, but at least it has better, more functional camo now.
- Updated the icons as well as fixed the position of the attachments.

I know this is not realistic, I honestly don't care. This is a unique variant and it might as well have some break from reality.
Besides, there are worse "anomalies" in The Zone than an Abakan with a silencer.

- Readjusted the "ready-aim" position of the Tulip.

The Camo variant will use a red&black; camo, fitting Duty.
It also comes with working tritium sights, making it much more unique and useful.

Default one is made by Cr3pis as part of his "training", the other is basically the same but with lower specular, to show its camo.
Both icons will not cause any conflict whatsoever since they are independent of eachother.
- Fixed some minor issues with the THM files.
That's great, I always want a AN-94 with silencer, you know where I can get this camo variant in game?
If you are Duty or have good will with them, you can get one from Colonel Petrenko himself.
Thanks for your reply, I’m playing the UNISG quest line this time so it might be difficult to get the rifle from Duties by trading. However there’s always another way to get it from Duties, I will give it a try later.

Really love this. The Abakan was my go-to in Vanilla Stalker games, but the old model just didn't hold up well enough in Anomaly. You even managed to make the firemodes work realistically!
I assume the camo version inherits the 'w_abakan.ltx' configs and all since i can't really tell the difference in testing, aside from the marked visual improvement.
Yep, Camo one still uses the original model, but has the RPM fixed and the two-burst is retrofittedly added.
I have no idea what to do with it though, thinking of just making a cool Duty camo of my own design to it.

Strange nobody mentioned it before, but for me the combination of 'wpn_abakan_camo' with 'kobra' is heavily misaligned - 'kobra' line-of-view is shifted too much to the left side of the weapon. I cannot compensate this with 'aim_hud_offset_*' values, it seems the mesh is screwed (probably i'm wrong). I tested it without any other mods, 'hud_fov = 0.55'.
Can you check this ?

When I get to make a better version of the "Camo AN-94" you can bet it will be fixed properly.
It used to be possible to attach silencers to abakan, but with CoP it is no longer possible, and the same is not true for the Anomaly mod, which is based on CoP.
If the mod brings it back I will be very happy.
In real life, the AN-94 doesn't use a silencer.
...But this is a good game and you should have the option to enjoy it how you want, reality can get ******.
Now I admit I'm not actually interested in it, but if I find a way and it's not that much of a hassle, I'll make a Version/Option 2 with it.

My feeling is that I support the idea of having silencer only on the Camo variant. I think it will make the contrast between the general-purpose normal ABAKAN and the unique Camo ABAKAN stand out more.

Up until now, I've been forced to make the reluctant choice of switching my ABAKAN to another gun later in the game, but now I have the option of continuing to use it as my sidekick through the end of the game!

I don't think so, I only changed the aim values, but the "origin" is the same.
Yes, you can merge with it, but the alternate aim (iron sights, if you are using scopes, such as 1p29) will not work correctly.

i liked the textures and all but it makes the an-94 way more inaccurate then vanilla. don´t know why. and i mean fully upgrade for max precision. i was hopping to get the cammo abakan for silent kills.
hope you can fix it if there´s some issue from the addon itself, but maybe is just x-ray magic.

Neither Accuracy nor Recoil were changed, you must be using another mod that does so, like "Grokodilo's Bullet Oomph!lification" mod
no ammo or weapon modifications of any kind, almost barely vanilla, except for some traders on garbage, a dds texture for pso1 and artifacts renovation. that´s it.

Hi mate I personally love this model and the saiga12.
I was just wondering tho if you can explain me how to edit weapon models in order to add tritium ironsights or for example add\change some addons like suppressors. I actually tried to do some stuff with blender but I really dont get the how-to.

To my knowledge there was never an official guide made on how to make a model, or to add gadgets to it.
must have, especially since the vanilla model is completely bugged with invisible mag/pistol grip and trigger finger floating in the air... love the 2 round burst
Since this mod prevents me from using the ironsights while equipped with a scope, I just copied the "cycledown=true" to get the 2 rounds on full auto.
The "ironsights while scoped" view is just from the hip.
I extracted the gamedata folder to my anomaly folder but nothing happened the abakan still has the old weapon model , why?

Why does one of the pictures have a silencer on the abakan but my abakan in game doesn't after I installed the mod? it also doesn't say I can put one on it. please help

Do you know why the icon for the alternate version appears out-of-place? I use Cr3pis icons if that's why.
