Last night I watched the HBO documentary "An American Bombing: The Road to April 19th". It provides deep context to anti-government extremism and the OKC bombing. Might be the single best documentary I've seen on the development of homegrown terrorism. Check it out. https://lnkd.in/ehzGuih2

For some who still don't understand the realities of being a military advisor to the film industry. It's not an easy job, and one where tact, diplomacy, and the ability to turn shit into gold is a skill in itself. You won't always get all the gear or the correct weapons, and you might get only a few minutes to put something together and train the cast, stunts, and extras. Improvise, adapt, and overcome. Have a read and educate. https://lnkd.in/eCAd8XAB

(Withdrawal military 🪖tactic) In military 🪖terms, withdrawal refers to the strategic movement of troops or forces from a specific area or battlefield. It's a planned and organized maneuver where military units disengage from combat or a particular location to reposition, regroup, or retreat to a more advantageous position. Withdrawals can be conducted for various reasons, such as avoiding being surrounded by enemy forces, conserving resources, or reorganizing for a counterattack. Properly executed withdrawals are crucial for the overall success and safety of military operations. During Napoleon's withdrawal from Moscow, the French 🇫🇷 forces faced a challenging situation due to the harsh Russian winter ❄️ and the scorched-earth tactics employed by the retreating Russian 🇷🇺 army. Napoleon's Grande Armée, weakened by the lack of supplies and the extreme weather conditions, had to retreat from Moscow in late 1812. The retreat turned into a disastrous campaign as the French forces suffered heavy casualties from the cold, lack of provisions, and constant harassment by Russian 🇷🇺 troops. Napoleon's withdrawal from Moscow marked a significant turning point in the Napoleonic Wars and the eventual downfall of his empire. If you are still 🤐 wondering 🤔 about the aggressive reason of the Arabic army's strength, it’s a reflection of the solid strength of the internal security 🚔👮🏻♂️👮🏽♀️ and they are building an undefeated legacy in global Scientific 🧪 and Political Affairs (they are Scientists👨🏻🔬)

Good analysis on recent ISIS attack in Moscow. Attackers’ home footage also provides valuable insight into asymmetric conflict structure gap increasingly growing lesser between Russia’s current internal security abilities, alongside ISIS’ similar external terrorist threat capabilities, and the space between becoming the ‘no man’s land’ of the here and now. Any significant disparity ie in weapons/tech etc between belligerents, is the readily exploitable strategic and tactical imbalance easily being filled by violent reciprocity without repercussions - the outdated and obsolete toothless UN Security Council tiger a case in point.
This act of terror in Moscow has handed to Western intelligence, an enormous treasure trove of intelligence analytics. Despite the ISIS-K claim to responsibility and the release to the internet of the video by them, Vladimir Putin insists this attack was ordered by the sovereign government of Ukraine. If ISIS-K had not been responsible, they would not have been able to release the video and claim responsibility. Yet the President of Russia dares to lie to his own people and the world while brutally using this heinous attack to justify further hypersonic missile attacks on Ukraine in the past 48 hours. This abrogation of international responsibility is criminal. However, there are some interesting positives in this heinous story. Firstly, it suggests that Putin and his intelligence apparatus is unable to penetrate central Asian mercenary terrorist politics and groups. Moscow is blind, Putin is blind. Had they had access to their own independent intelligence, they would have understood the threat and been able to mitigate it. They did not understand the threat because they could not verify it, and because they don't have the access or the relationships any longer. This speaks volumes and is good news for Ukraine, Europe, NATO and Central Asia. Russia is quite blind to what is unfolding in their back yard. It also suggests that Putin thought he could sacrifice the men of Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kalmykia, and as far as Siberian Krasnoyarsk Krai on the fields of Ukraine without repercussion. Then there is the Russian failure in Syria which ignited the ISIS retribution that has only just begun. Of strategic importance is that Putin appears to have lost the loyalty and confidence of the Central Asian republics, who are regularly and openly now protesting against the Kremin and war in Ukraine. His chickens are coming home to roost and will be roosting for decades. Additionally, and perhaps most significantly, it suggests that the Kremlin has lost control over immigration and borders since ISIS-K operators were able to get into Russia from Tajikistan easily, undetected, with no credible intelligence from the Russian government apparatus to suggest to the contrary. Where did the weapons come from? Were they smuggled into Russia or does ISIS-K have a network in Russia to procure weapons internally? This useful act of terror has exposed that the Russian emperor has no clothes and is likely to soon freeze. It has enormous implications for Russian security at every level. If ISIS-K can achieve this so easily - what else can be done and by whom to target this dangerous but ailing regime.? One thing is for sure - it can't be soon enough and at least one terrorist group has declared that it will stop at nothing until it has destroyed the Putin regime. With ISIS-K's promise to continue targeting Russia, we can safely assume that the unravelling of Russia in central Asia has irreversibly begun. We are assured of Putin's strategic unviability.

Citizens of the world can’t agree on what is a justified defensive military operation, what is a justifiable offensive military operation, when a justified defensive military operation becomes an overreach morphing into a contestable offensive military operation, and on and on we can go with situations and scenarios LIVE across the globe tonight. I am a Canadian citizen and I haven’t served in the Canadian military, I have family who did and I am proud of them for their noble, honourable service. In the early 2000s I was CEO of a company that did business with US military, counter narcotics, law enforcement and other institutions. Warfighters and operators. I was of a certain worldview because of 911 and how it decimated Cantor Fitzgerald, the Plandome guys. I also spent time on the ground in Liberia post their war. Ive talked with hundreds of men, women, children, combatants, child soldiers and heard stories that burst your heart. The trauma, permanent trauma, that MILLIONS of people suffered because of war endures. Tonight I am unclear about Canada’s values and implementation of foreign policy. Does the government of Canada have the mandates it thinks it has as it acts “as if” ? Take the Russia/ Ukraine war. Has the Canadian Government levelled with the Canadian people? Kinetic actions have been ongoing for 2 years now. What is the situation on the ground? How is the war going? How are the Ukrainian people? I’ve been told that IF Ukraine shoots off artillery, the Russians can counter fire onto that exact location with their own artillery within 2 minutes because the Russian airborne sensors pick it up and link to artillery systems. Ukrainian artillery equipment becomes effectively ‘disposable’. This response seems hard to beat. Is this Russian capacity true? My point is that this weekend things feel quite volatile again. The world feels like it is in a violent spiral. I'm simply asking for our leaders to communicate clearly with us. To report on actual events and progress vs clear objectives. They should double and triple check that they have the mandates they think they have from 'we the people'. Anyone else feel that way? We cant have these forever wars, like Afghanistan, 20 years and the outcome was what exactly? A purple finger after an election and then a reversion to Taliban life? And again NO DISRESPECT ever to warfighters who follow orders. In Canada and America our warfighters are VOLUNTEERS. VOLUNTEERS, for God and country. May we never have to test our volunteer structure again. Some countries today (allies) have conscripted armies and some people in these countries are forced to the front lines of kinetic war against their will. In 2024. I don't feel right about that. Do you? Anyhow this old track came to mind tonight . prompted this post I may regret… no matter what may the world somehow find its way to peace. Quickly.

Extraordinary: The Revelations (Full Documentary) Extraordinary: The Revelations explores ET history, 3 belief paradigms and testimony from whistleblowers involved in ET military engagement programs. Do governments know about ETs, have they made contact, have they been hiding this for decades? "Extraordinary: The Revelations" explores the historical significance of ET presence around the world as well as three specific belief paradigms — biblical, ascension and colonization — that attempt to define the alien agenda. While individuals in each of these “thought camps” believe ET interaction is occurring, their endgame assessments are vastly different. Retired military whistleblowers directly involved in government-sanctioned programs related to ET engagement and communication share their life-changing stories, answering once and for all: Do governments know about the existence of ETs, have they made contact with them, are they engaged in “Above Black” programs, and have they been hiding these facts from the general public for decades?

I am a bilingual freelance journalist, author, and documentary filmmaker. I represent the Syrian Kurdish Journalists Network in the UK and serve as a UN Women UK Delegate for CSW68. I won the Wales Media Award in 2017.
Must Watch 👇 🎬 I'd like to share my thoughts on this impactful film 16/03. It's a masterful narrative that delves into a multitude of topics – from love and the plight of asylum seekers to the portrayal of the Middle East in Western media and the insatiable thirst for power among politicians. However, its essence lies in shedding light on the tragic events of #Halabja. At its core, the film presents a solid thematic idea that challenges our understanding of terrorism. In a matter of minutes, it vividly depicts the horrifying reality faced by 5000 Kurds, including innocent children and women, who perished due to chemical gas attacks by the Iraqi regime on March 16th 1988. What's more chilling is the stark indifference of the world to their suffering. Even today, survivors carry the weight of that tragedy, as seen in the protagonist's poignant act of holding and smelling an apple, a haunting reminder of that dark chapter. This film grabs your attention from the very beginning, effortlessly drawing you into its authenticity and honesty. Its brilliance is a testament to the sharp direction and production skills of Kurdish actor Danny. Moreover, I was impressed by the technical and artistic innovations that elevate the film to a whole new level. I highly recommend experiencing this cinematic gem, led by the stellar performance of Kurdish icon Danny Darren and a remarkable ensemble cast and crew. Prepare to be moved, enlightened, and inspired. Don't miss out on this powerful cinematic journey! 🎬 🌟 https://lnkd.in/eCBQuJ-i... #filmreview #HalabjaTragedy #kurdishcinema #CinematicMasterpiece #awareness #humanrights #MustWatch #powerfulstorytelling #filmrecommendation #ArtisticInnovation

(Aired in 2007). Hindsight is 20/20. Our leaders made a strategic mistake in 2003 by invading Iraq. Things have not changed 20 years later. I hope those who drank the Kool-Aid in 2002-2003 did not make the same mistakes with the 2008 Bucharest Declaration of "welcoming Ukraine's...aspirations to join NATO" when majority of Ukrainians opposed joining NATO according to the Pew Research Center polls in 2009: https://lnkd.in/gxderFQ4 Ask our officials: what is the endgame for Ukraine? 1moLiving in Oklahoma during this event was scary, eye opening and to date I feel the resilience of the people of Oklahoma. We've lived through some tough times and seem to bounce back. This was a horrible day in our history but there are more, unfortunately, but we learn and move forward. I always remember where I was when the tragedy hit home, I was changing the direction of my life by sitting in a classroom at OU of Managerial Accounting and we were asked to leave the classroom go home and check on family if they were to be downtown. I've never been more thankful my family decided to delay their visit to the SS office but others weren't as lucky. We will always remember April 19th.
