General detail with a higher resolution sensor is only minimal in most cases. Not enough to warrant a halving of proper optical magnification. I'd be willing to bet if there is any actual improvements, it's due to dishonesty about the 10x magnification being due to optics on previous phones. They have a history of lying, especially in the zoom department. Though I doubt improvements will be made.

From 10x zoom to 5x zoom? Is that an upgrade? Or? Samsung is trying to fit on the iPhone's 5x? Lol. I choose Samsung S23 Ultra over iPhone 15 promax because of its camera and zoom capacity and now here's your 5x zoom?

In fact, that's about the only zoom levels I ever use. 10x isn't that far of a zoom. Even just across a room, 10x is useful.

Definitely design was good but people's wants something new 🤔 iam using s20 plus 5g still because of upgrading note 10 plus the side 3 camera and same sensors there for design samsung not upgrading

Don t understand why downgrade of optical zoom,even s21 ultra have 10 X optical, and now s24 ultra downgrade to only 5x optical?? I thinks there nothing to add since s21 ultra.

The choice of a brand is somewhat subjective. To some apple is best, while some prefer samsung or others. To me the freedom of file transfer and modded apps is all what is best. Sorry to apple fans but iphone used mostly as a symbol icon. 😔
