PRINCESS Diaries star Heather Matarazzo was told her Irish birth dad was dead but a psychic unfolded the truth.
The actress who played Lilly in Princess Diaries revealed the bizarre story on how she found her Irish parents.

The Disney star was put into foster care when she was just two-years-old and was officially adopted at five.
Heather believed that her birth father had passed away however that wasn't the case.
Speaking on Ireland AM this morning, the 39-year-old said: "I was told my whole entire life that my birth dad was dead and when I found my birth mom in 2005 she also told me my dad was dead.
"When she passed in 2007 a lot was going on with me at the time."

It was then that Heather decided she wanted to find more about her birth father.
She explained: "An ex of mine who is still a good friend - her family was from Dallas and they were very wealthy and had a psychic.
"I just wanted to find where my birth dad was buried.
"And this woman says to me 'Oh he's not dead. He's alive and a lot closer than you think'."

The Dollhouse actress was initially shocked and in denial.
Heather said: "And it just kept going in my mind like 'No he's dead'.
"A few months go by and I'm like 'You know what I don't care if I sound crazy' and I reached out to the private investigator who helped me find my birth mum."
It tuns out her Irish father was alive and even closer than she thought.
'HELLO HEATHER'
Heather said: "And less than 24 hours later he rang and said 'Hello Heather, it's your birth dad Patrick'.
"He was 20 minutes away from me in The Bronx."
Her dad moved back to Ireland and Heather ended up visiting to see more of her Irish family.
Heather said: "He ended up moving back to Knock where he was born and raised and he got married to a beautiful woman named Trish.
"He passed away in January of 2015.

"In 2018 I went to Ireland to meet some other members of the family on his side."
She joked: "I like to joke and say that I feel like they were expecting Mother Mary but instead got Mary Magdalene."
