Standup comic and former “Air America” radio host Janeane Garofalo was on hand for a screening of the radio news comedy, “Alan Partridge,” and noted that doing a TV news show wouldn’t be her cup of tea.
“I think I’d be terrible at it,” she confessed at Wednesday’s Landmark Sunshine Cinema showing. “I’m actually not very smart. I’m intellectually curious, but I’m not very bright.”
After giving the idea a bit more thought, Garofalo doubled down on her dim defense.
“[That] requires enormous amounts of work to stay on top of it, and I just don’t feel smart enough,” she added. “I was a straight C student. I barely graduated high school and college — barely.”
British comedian Steve Coogan, star of “Alan Partridge,” says he’s found a way to pass the time in his trailer while waiting to shoot scenes. “I get drunk and hide,” jokes Coogan, whose penchant for late nights out has gotten him lots of media attention across the pond over the years.
GISELE HAS THAT HOME EDGE
As the wife of New England Patriots QB Tom Brady, supermodel Gisele Bundchen does her fair share of cheering from the sidelines. But at Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Bundchen’s native Brazil, Brady was the one hooting and hollering as his wife walked down the Colcci runway in a knit tube skirt and crop top. Brady had a front-row seat at the show to support Bundchen, who was born in Três de Maio, Rio Grande do Sul.
A BIG NIGHT TO REMEMBER KOCH
Ed Koch would’ve loved Thursday night at the Harmonie Club in Midtown. It was all about him. The exuberant late mayor’s family and friends joined Koch’s staff and the journalists who covered his administration for a dinner and tribute marking the one-year anniversary of his death. Those who came to praise Koch ranged from television’s Maury Povich, Chuck Scarborough and Marcia Kramer (former City Hall bureau chief of the Daily News) to Nir Barkat, mayor of Jerusalem. The evening benefited Beit Morasha’s Edward I. Koch Center for Public Policy and Jewish Ethics in Jerusalem.
THE MONSTROUS KLUM
Not everything about Heidi Klum is perfect. At the launch of her new Dr. Scholl’s DreamWalk Line at the Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel on Wednesday, the model admitted she sometimes feels like little monsters are crawling between her toes when she wears uncomfortable shoes. Fortunately, in case that image wasn’t graphic enough, Klum brought along some sharp-toothed props to illustrate. Lucky monsters!

MORE BALDWIN HOOP-LA
What — couldn’t get Lakers tickets, Alec? Ornery Alec Baldwin, who recently groused to New York magazine, “I just can’t live in New York,” while singing L.A.’s praises, enjoyed his courtside seats at Madison Square Garden. He and wife Hilaria hobnobbed with Howard and Beth Stern while New York’s two NBA teams went to war Wednesday. Stern chuckled as his “America’s Got Talent” co-star Nick Cannon got booed by the “MSG” crowd while taping an “AGT” promo.
MINNIE THE MOOCHER
Minnie Driver has ‘fessed up about demanding a friend be cast in a video that she filmed for an allergy medicine. “I was like, ‘Well, I’ll do it, but could you cast my best friend as my assistant,’ and they were like, ‘Oh God, she is going to be a total donkey, Minnie’s friend.” The “About a Boy” star told her tale during Standard Hotel luncheon Thursday about the video sponsored by the makers of Claritin products in support of Rails-to-Trails, a nonprofit organization that converts old railroad lines to public walking.
MOSS ALWAYS SUITABLE
Sometimes it’s good to gather a little moss. Almost-ageless supermodel Kate Moss, 40, soaked up the sun in Rio de Janeiro while showing off the effortless good looks that make her a fashion icon. Moss splashed around with her daughter Lila Grace Moss before putting on headphones and drying off poolside. We’re guessing she was listening to the Kills, the band for which her husband of nearly three years, Jamie Hince, plays guitar.
