Neutral Color Palette Inspiration

It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with neutral color palettes. There are so many refined, honest, soothing, muted colors that it can be hard to nail down the right option for your company or brand. Today I’m sharing some gorgeous neutral color examples to help give some design inspiration, and why I think most brands should consider having a few neutral colors within their brand guidelines.

Top Neutral Color Palette Picks - Neutral Color Palette Inspiration for Brands

One.

Neutrals offer a soothing effect.

Neutral colors typically come in muted, soft and matte options, derived from nature: a white pearl, a soft buttery cream, or even a pebbled sand. These colors really help with creating a calming, soothing effect, and can also provide a refined, regal vibe–depending on how they are used. With neutrals, you have lots of design flexibility, so it’s always good to have a few in your brand’s color palette.

two.

Neutrals pair well with a range of colors.

Now that you’ve locked in your neutral color palette, you can layer in other colors to bring your brand’s palette to life. If you are looking for something that feels regal and refined, maybe you play with deep, jewel toned colors. Wanting something that feels boho and playful? Look for warm, muted colors. And if you’re going a more minimalist route, look for almost black coloring options to give that contrast but staying very clean.

three.

Neutrals are iconic.

Neutral color palettes stand the test of time. The Pantone Color of the Year comes and goes, as does design trends, but backing your brand’s color palette with subtle, timeless neutrals is a safe bet to keep your brand relevant season after season.

As you can see, my love for neutrals runs deep, and I hope you can appreciate their subtle importance even more after this post. And if you’re wanting even more ideas, check out my Pinterest board full of stunning color palette options.
