A masterpiece! I was blown away by the loyalty, intelligence and love displayed by Tibetan Mastiffs for their masters from the time of Genghis Khan up to China's Cultural Revolution. A Han journalist befriends a remarkable Mastiff named Gangri Senge while traveling, then living in the wilderness, prairie and mountains of Tibet.

Author Yang Zhijun is arguably "China's finest storyteller about the Tibetan highlands...".
