Combination pliers are universally useful, and should not be missing from any workshop or household utility drawer.
Universally usable screw removal pliers in a compact design, therefore also suitable for smaller and less strong hands. The additional vertical profiling of these combination pliers grips screw heads without slipping. The relatively slim yet tapered head is ideal for working in confined spaces. The built-in spring facilitates handling, as does the sheathing of the carbon steel body (60 +-2 HRC) with pleasant-to-grip TPR.
Supplied complete with sleeve for the head, which keeps the pliers closed when not in use, allowing space-saving storage or transport.
Less suitable for specially hardened, heat-treated and stuck screws.
Technical data
The PZ-78 is a rugged and versatile pair of pliers with 21 mm long side cutters, extra-long handles for lots of leverage and crimping function for cables (1.25 to 3.5 mm²) at the head end near the handles. The unique highlight is, however, a screw removal function. The lengthwise serration of the PZ-78’s gripping faces grips the screw with all its teeth. This tooth geometry allows you to reliably tackle screws that barely protrude above the surface. Suitable for damaged round-head screws, panhead screws, also rusty ones, even screwnails can be gripped with confidence. The lateral offset of the lengthwise serration means the pliers can also be used in confined spaces (see video). And the screw removal function is especially useful for screws with exotic heads for which you can’t find a suitable screwdriver. Accommodates screw head diameters from 3 to 9.5 mm.
The thermoplastic rubber grip is pleasantly soft and easy on your hands, and its unique lamellar structure prevents it twisting in your hand – important if you need to use the pliers all the time. Made by ENGINEER in Japan.

KEIBA Combination Pliers from the High Grade Series have the lightest, smoothest action of any pliers out there, because of the use of a brass bearing plate in the pivot between the two arms. The black plastic coating on the grips provides an excellent grip. The forged parts of the pliers are subjected to an elaborate hardening and tempering process in a computer controlled kiln. The result is very hard working faces on the special alloy steel, while reducing the tendency of hard steels to be brittle, to guarantee a long service life.
