Seller Notes: “You will receive 2 CALLISIA PUPS FROM 5-10 OR MORE INCHES IN DIAMETER, ready to be planted in a ... “You will receive 2 CALLISIA PUPS FROM 5-10 OR MORE INCHES IN DIAMETER, ready to be planted in a well draining potting soil suitable for bromeliads. These are pups from my parent plant that have been growing and pumping out babies like there is no tomorrow! :) See pictures 1-6. Your Callisia will be similar to pictures 7-8. They will be securely packaged and ready to plant upon arrival. NOTE WELL: YOUR PLANT WILL NOT BE ROOTED. Callisia pups are easily rooted from stem/cuttings. This variety is capable of growing in full sun but I find that it grows best in part shade or in a screened-in pool or other patio area. Pups grow on long stems that can root as it creeps and extends as much as 35 inches from the mother plant. Leaves are dark green and may take on a purple hue in intense sunlight. Flowers are inflorescent with pinkish bracts and purple flowers. This is an excellent bromeliad for container growing in a hanging basket or a tall pot so that the pups can "hang out" with mom. (LOL)””
