Lili Taylor has been cast as Leatherface's mother in the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel.
The actress replaces Angela Bettis, who was originally down to play the character but dropped out due to a scheduling conflict.
EastEnders actor Sam Strike will play her on-screen son, a violent teen who eventually becomes the title character.
Leatherface will focus on the teen's escape from a mental hospital and kidnap of a young nurse. He and other escapees are then chased by an equally crazed lawman looking for revenge.
Stephen Dorff recently landed a role in the film too, as well as James Bloor, Sam Coleman and Jessica Madsen.
Written by Seth M Sherwood, the film will be directed by Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury, and is tipped for release in 2016.
