Abstract

A method for providing a case for multimedia discs, such as CDs, DVDs, Blu-Rays and the like comprising the step of providing a containment body (1) constituted by a base element (2) and a lid (3) which are mutually hinged; the base element (2) and the lid (3) are obtained by means of steps of providing a die-cut base (10) made of paper-like material and a die-cut lid (11) made of paper-like material, which are provided perimetrically with foldable edges (12, 13), folding these edges (12, 13) substantially at right angles to the corresponding central portion, mating within the edges (12) of the die-cut base (10) a coupling rim (20) which protrudes with respect to the folded edges (12), superimposing the lid (3) on the base element (2), applying a covering layer (30) made of paper-like material, which covers the die-cut lid (11) and the edges (12) of the die-cut base (10), scoring the covering layer (30) between the edges (12, 13) except for the hingeing side, and applying, inside the containment body (1), an element (50) for retaining at least one disc.
