Abstract

Zur weitgehend oder vollständig automatischen Vorbereitung einer Papierrolle (1) für den fliegenden Rollenwechsel mittels eines aus einem Aussenband und einem davon trennbaren Innenband bestehenden Klebebandes (4) wird von derselben ein Abschnitt der Papierbahn (2) auf einen Abrolltisch (17) abgewickelt, sein Endbereich mittels Unterdruck an einer waagrechten ersten Klappe (20) an der Innenseite fixiert und von der Aussenseite her geschnitten. Nach Fixierung an einer zweiten waagrechten Klappe (22) an der Aussenseite, ebenfalls mittels Unterdruck, wird die erste Klappe (20) abgeklappt und das Klebeband (4) an der Innenseite des Bahnabschnitts derart angebracht, dass ein Teil seiner äusseren Klebefläche mit der Innenseite des Bahnabschnitts verklebt und ein anschliessender Teil zur späteren Verklebung mit der Papierbahn einer Restrolle übersteht. Zugleich wird eine innere Klebefläche freigelegt, die beim nachfolgenden Wiederaufwickeln des Bahnabschnitts auf die Papierrolle (1) durch eine Walzenbürste (43) an die nächstuntere Lage angedrückt wird und mit derselben verklebt.
